The Stevenson Bands

The Stevenson High School Band Program is comprised of 5 Bands: The Freshman Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Advanced Symphonic Band  and the Honor Band

The bands are directed by Jeff Slepakand Debbie Durham , assisted by  Gerry Peters . All 5 bands combine with the Color Guard to perform as the Marching Patriots, presenting pre-game and half-time shows at Varsity Football games. The 350+ members of the bands also perform as the Green, Gold, Silver and White Pep Bands at Varsity Basketball games. The main emphasis for the bands, however, is the development of total musicianship through the study, preparation and performance of quality concert band music and an authentic understanding of the language of music through a sequential curriculum  of Music Theory topics.

Band members extend their musical activities through participation in Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra for the annual Musical, Solo & Ensemble Contests, chamber music performances, private lessons, competitive auditions and community ensembles.
