Announcements:
* The next Critics' Corner Book Club is meeting on
May 21, at 7:30 AM in the library classroom. The club is going virtual
as well! Look for our Critics'
Corner Book Blog, coming soon to the library home page!
* The library will be closed for AP testing on the
following dates and times:
5/10/07 until 6th period
5/14/07 from 4th through 8th
periods
5/15/07 until 6th period
5/17/07 through 8th period
5/18/07 until 6th period
* The final due date for all books is May 18th. Look
here, there, and everywhere and get those overdue library books in!!
* The library will be closed for inventory
from 5/29/07 through 6/4/07. We will be open for exam days for silent
study only.
*The new list of nominees for the 2008 Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award is now posted! This award is the Illinois High School Students' Choice Award sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association. Nominated books are chosen by a committee made up of students and librarians. Most of these books are available now in our library and you can get a head start on reading the required 4 books for voting eligibility. Read some of the best books out there for young adults and let us know what YOU think! To see the list of nominated books and find out more about the award program visit the ISLMA website.
Book Browse:
The Book Browse is an annual event for
faculty and staff when
the library gets to "strut its stuff" with a fine display
of new books and a great selection of baked goods.
Our next Book Browse will be held in the library next Spring. A
display
and celebration also takes place for students during National
Library Week in April.
