| General Info | Best Buddies is a non-for-profit international program that enhances the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with 1-to-1 friendships. Students with disabilities are paired up with students without disabilities and friendships develop. Contact between Buddies will be about once a week. Associate members do not get paired up, but are invited to all chapter meetings and outings. We promote friendship and understanding between all people. |
| Eligibility Requirements | Experience working with people with disabilities is helpful, but not required. |
| Joining Procedure | Formal application and interview process. in the fall of each year. |
| Time Comittment | One to two monthly meetings before school, one to two outings a month, and weekly contact between Buddy Friends. |
| Meets | Every first and third Monday of the month at 7:00 a.m. in Room 7036. |
