What is Latino College Bowl?
Participants in this club watch two documentaries about the Mexican-American struggle for civil rights and recognition in the United States, especially during the 1960s. We then study all of the information in preparation for the Latino College Bowl, which is held every year at Highland Park High School in April or May. Students who are interested in dancing at the competition prepare a 2-3 minute dance presentation! There is also a speaker, a dinner, and a dance after the competition! This year's famous speaker will be the film producer Moctesuma Esparza. Latino College Bowl is always looking for Mexican and Mexican-American students who want to learn about their history and culture! We are looking for students who are proud of their Hispanic heritage!
