Ask Eric Excellent resource for
educators from the Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) which
provides an on-line library of materials for teachers and educators.
Also provides a 48 hr. service for answering questions. Database
includes Eric Digests and is searchable by keyword, title, author,
publication dates, language, and more.
Atomic Learning CenterContains
thousands of short tutorials on
dozens of applications, focused on answering the common questions
teachers, students and anyone else may have when learning software.
Blue Web'n
Excellent starting point for educators interested in projects,
activities, and resources for K-12. Sites are rated using an evaluation
rubric.
The Chronicle of Higher
Education Online version of the chronicle, with a searchable
archive. For Stevenson staff, email librarian for password info.
Classroom Connect K-12
educators' guide to the internet and resources for integrating
technology into the classroom. Free membership.
Classroom Connect's
Connected University This web site is full of resources for
teachers, eg. find and contact educators with similar interests and
skills in the teacher search section and also includes a message board.
The Digital librarian
Created by a New York librarian, this is a great subject guide to web
pages.
edHelper.com "Dedicated to
providing teachers a single shop for educational resources", this is a
primarily free site for K-12 educators.
Ed.gov From the U.S. Dept. of
Education, excellent source of information on programs, services,
initiatives, grant guidelines, and links to affiliated sites.
Education Week Online
newspaper of Education, includes the teacher magazine, archives and
other information.
Education World
This site is the largest education-specific search engine on the
internet with links to a dozen main educational categories, plus
general links by region and subject.

Standards Information about national or state standards, documents
or curriculum frameworks in any subject area.
Educators for Social Responsibility
Lesson plans regarding conflict and social responsibility All lessons
are linked to national standards. Must register to download free

The English Teacher: Lesson Plans and Teaching Strategies
Developed by English teacher Leif Danielson, this site features lesson
plans for books such as Fahrenheit 451, To Kill a Mockingbird, The
Scarlet Letter, the Odyssey, Beowulf, King Lear, and others, plus
lessons on creative writing, research papers, poetry, and much more.
Federal Resources for
Educational Excellence (FREE) A guide to free educational Web sites
created by federal government agencies. This is a clearinghouse for all
government resources. This provides an incredible amount of resources.
The Gateway to Educational
Materials GEM is a consortium effort to provide educators with easy
access to the substantial, but uncataloged, collections of educational
materials found on various federal, state, university, non-profit and
commercial Internet sites. It contains all of FREE (see above) plus
more, so this is an expansive and very valuable portal to many
different kinds of resources, including lesson plans, activities and
projects.
Tech Learning Formerly
The Well Connected Educator from Global Schoolhouse, this is a forum
for educators for teaching with technology, including an online
publishing site for teachers to publish lessons.

TeacherWeb Allows teachers
to create a mini Web site easily. You can post announcements, homework
assignments, a calendar, and build a list of links you wish your
students to access.

Over 55,000 resources, including lesson plans, student materials ,
reference materials and web pages searchable by keyword, subject, grade
level, resource type and content parner. Content parners include
National Endowment of the Humanities, National Council for the Teachers

Special Education Resources This web site from the University of
Virginia School of Education is one of the most comprehensive resources
for special education on the web, offering links to many quality sites
and articles covering every aspect of special education.
The Webquest
Page Resources for teachers for developing webquests, including
training materials and sample quests in a variety of subject areas and
grade levels provided by the Educational Technology Dept. at San Diego
State University.
